WCI Corporate Services 570-988-1989 WCI Workplace Violence Training Programs

Workplace Violence Assault Prevention, Attack Avoidance,

& Self-Defense Training Programs That Work!

  • A laid-off employee shoots and kills his former boss and coworkers...
  • A normally passive individual suffering from pain, an adverse reaction to medication, or grief violently attacks a medical professional...
  • A co-worker’s angry significant-other stalks her at the office, threatening harm...
  • The loser in a legal battle attacks and kills the lawyer and judge he sees as responsible for his misfortune...
  • A store clerk is stabbed and left for dead by the junkie who robbed the store to feed his habit...
  • A counselor or human services provider is violently attacked by a patient under her care...
  • A female staff member is brutally raped by a coworker who couldn't take "No" for an answer...
  • A member of the congregation, encountering personal problems at home and work, "sprays bullets" during a church service...

The stories are all too familiar -- a grim reality within an increasingly dangerous modern workplace.  And these incidents are not limited to the United States.  In fact, Mr. Miller has consulted with, or spoken to, executives and representatives from businesses in Japan, Thailand, Germany, The Netherlands, and other countries all over the world, and the reports are all the same.

The incidents may be nothing more than threats, intimidation, even shoving or pushing. But, if tolerated, they can -- and often do -- lead to much worse.

And the effects on your staff caused by violence in the workplace, can go unnoticed, or seem unrelated.  But, workplace violence - even seemingly passive threats - can be a hidden cause of...

  • High Employee Turn-over
  • Job-related Stress
  • Poor Performance
  • Destructive In-house Politics
  • Managerial Indecisiveness & Favoritism
  • and More

In fact...

... workplace violence is the number one cause of death for managers and executives injured on the job!

Important Programs to Make Sure

Your Workplace-Violence Plan is Rock-Solid!

The bulk of workplace violence prevention programs being offered to companies like yours focus on non-violent, passive tactics, interpersonal communications skills for employees, and negotiation skills - all very important pieces of the overall puzzle.  However...

What happens when these policies, procedures, and "answers" fail?  What happens when you or one of your team are actually under fire - actually dealing with a physical attack from an enraged assailant?

What happens then?

The fact is, without the addition of assault prevention, attack avoidance, and physical self-defense training for your employees, you are exposing your company to the very legal-, liability-, and financial-loss issues you set out to prevent when you designed your workplace violence prevention plan in the first place.  Without the professional programs offered by WCI, you're betting, not only your company's future, but the life and well-being of yourself and every member of your organization on the effectiveness and complete-ness your current plan.

Five Training Options

Choose the training program that best meets your needs.  There are five options available for the WCI Workplace Violence Prevention programs.

Choose one of these empowering programs or, combine them to meet the individual needs of different employees and departments based on implied or perceived threat levels.  If you choose this flexible training format, here's how it works:

All groups attend the same session on the first day, but the Seminar and Certification Program participants continue with more in-depth training and practical techniques on the first and second day. EDR Plus participants receive two more days of training to develop more in-depth skills and learn to protect others.

Past participants of WCI sponsored one- and two-day programs may inquire about full EDR Plus Program discounts.

Remember: the longer you wait, the longer you and your team are at risk!

Choose The Right Program for Your Needs

If you already know what your company needs, simply scroll down to review our program options.  If, like many of our clients, you're not sure what your company's needs are, selecting a program is, as the proverbial saying goes... "putting the cart before the horse."

A thorough needs analysis should be done to discover things like:

  • Your primary threats - where danger will come from?
  • Facility layout and sensitive areas - what areas/staff are likely to be targeted?
  • Staff routines and accessability - who's a potential target and when are they vulnerable?
  • Number of employees/staff (including management) needing this training
  • Your work/training schedule - what are your availablity dates and restrictions?
  • Training venue - where will training take place?

Of course, there may be more areas that your company needs to consider, but the above list will give you a good idea as to the things we will be asking you during our needs assessment interview.  Don't worry if you're not sure about any of this information.  We will help you to discover just what you need.

To begin your information-gathering process, use this Contact Form to get started, and Mr. Miller will contact you as-soon-as possible.  And remember...

All of our programs may be scheduled at either your facility, WCI's training facility, or at an outside venue such as a hotel conference room, etc.  We will work with you to insure that you and your people get what you need, and in a way that works best for you.
